Week 8 is upon us in the NFL. You wait all year long for football season, and it just seems to fly by. It is very disheartening. Besides the mumbo-jumbo, what better way to signify the league's halfway point than with some bold predictions? Here you go -
1. The Carolina Panthers will make the playoffs.
It will probably be as a wildcard, but they are capable of doing it. They have a very tough schedule the rest of the way with games against the Patriots, 49ers and Saints, but they just need 9 wins in my opinion. There defense is ranked as the 3rd best unit, and Cam Newton is coming into his own.
2. A team will go 0 - 16.
There are two teams that are playing at an historically bad level. The Jaguars just stink, and the Buccaneers are a mutiny waiting to happen. My money is on the Jags.
3. The Seattle Seahawks will lose one game at home.
After glancing over the remaining schedule, I think Week 13's Monday night game against the Saints is the one I'd worry about if I was Seahawk fan. Drew Brees is a MNF stud, and I still think that playoff game upset from a few years ago is in the back of his mind.
4. A trade will happen by Tuesday, but it won't any big name we've been hearing about.
The biggest name that might be moved is probably someone along the likes of Brown's receiver Greg Little. Twitter is buzzing with crazy rumors (Adrian Peterson to the Cowboys - NOT HAPPENING). Sorry to disappoint, but history tells us nothing big will occur.
- More bold predictions will be coming in the weeks ahead.
